Rene Faucher of Gray•Duffy’s Encino office secures a minimal settlement in the defense of the firm’s security company client in a lawsuit filed by a woman who claimed that security guards entered her backyard in an apartment complex during a Halloween party and harassed and battered her.

Maria Magana v. Archon Security, Inc. et al. The plaintiff, a single mother in her early thirties, claimed that security guards entered her backyard in an apartment complex during a Halloween party and harassed and battered her, seeking significant monetary damages.  The plaintiff and three guests of the party were quickly deposed revealing significant discrepancies in their description of events.  Following these depositions, the plaintiff agreed to accept $2,000 to settle the lawsuit.
