Overview & Discussion

The Bee Construction v. Western Built Construction, Inc. Plaintiff, The Bee Construction, asserted a claim for money owed of $18,000 on a residential construction project in Beverly Hills. Plaintiff also recorded a Mechanic’s Lien against the property for the amount of $11,000. On behalf of the client, Gray•Duffy filed a cross-complaint claiming the work that was done required significant repairs, in excess of the amount claimed by Plaintiffs. After over a year of litigation, the case resolved where both parties agreed to dismiss their claims against the other, in order to avoid incurring further litigation costs that would exceed the amount of either claim.
