Ronald H. Mandel Joins Gray•Duffy

Gray•Duffy is pleased to announce that Ronald H. Mandel has joined the firm as an associate.

Mr. Mandel obtained his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, and was admitted to practice law in New York in 1974. He was admitted to practice law in California in 1978. Mr. Mandel brings a great deal of experience in bad faith litigation. Mr. Mandel has also developed a great deal of knowledge over the years in construction defect matters, including mold, bodily injury claims and in fraud investigation.

From 1986 to 2004, Ron was a member of Mandel & Pillemer, representing the insurance industry in all aspects of both first party and third party matters. Prior to entering private practice in 1983, Ron was employed with State Farm Fire & Casualty. In 1978, he was appointed the first Fire and Casualty Claims Counsel for State Farm in the United States. While at State Farm, Ron wrote a manual for State Farm claims personnel entitled “Understanding Bad Faith, A Basic Guide for the Claims Person.”
