Discussion

Bastion v. Speedy PC Software A consumer class action lawsuit was filed against the firm’s client, Parito Logic, Inc, in the United States District Court in San Francisco. The lawsuit alleged that one of Parito Logic’s products violated consumer protection laws and fraudulently induced customers to purchase software online to cure the customer’s computer malware and virus issues. After conducting written discovery and forensic examination of the software, as well as demanding the representative plaintiff’s computer be produced for examination, substantial negotiations took place which resulted in the plaintiffs’ voluntary dismissal of the complaint in its entirety.
