George Camerlengo of Gray•Duffy’s Redwood City, CA office, obtained an award on behalf of the plaintiff following a two-day arbitration before the Hon. David Velasquez (ret.). Plaintiff was awarded $155,605.32, which was paid in full by the defendant.

Discussion

This was a wrongful termination case involving the recruitment of our client, Dr. Ahmed Kandeel, a general surgeon, who was terminated by defendant Cal Med. Plaintiff contended he was induced to relocate based on false promises. The arbitrator ruled in favor of the client on the breach of contract claim, awarding damages of $155,605.32.
