Discussion

Constance Crawford v. Sequoia High School District, et al. As a result of her fall, the plaintiff suffered serious injuries, including a hip fracture and a closed head injury. After conducting discovery, negotiations between the plaintiff’s counsel and Mr. Williams resulted in a complete dismissal of all claims against the District. Mr. Williams asserted the applicability of certain immunities afforded to the District in the California Government Code, and was able to convince the plaintiff’s counsel he could not prevail in his claim. The plaintiff’s counsel then agreed to the dismissal.
