Daily Journal Reports on $1.885M Unanimous Defense Verdict in Subrogation Claim

As reported by Daily Journal, Managing Partner Michael Eisenbaum obtained a complete defense verdict for American Plumbing, Inc. in a subrogation claim brought by State Farm General Insurance Company. State Farm alleged American Plumbing’s installation of a water heater in a Laguna Beach residential property caused a fire resulting in $1,885,000 of damage.
The jury returned a unanimous verdict in under two hours finding that American Plumbing was not negligent in its installation of the water heater nor did its installation cause the fire. American Plumbing was awarded costs in the amount of $116,428 per CCP Section 998.
