Client dissatisfaction can often lead to a claim against a professional, particularly where subsequent events cause a financial loss to the client. Adequate documentation of the communications with the client pointing out risks and alternatives will help manage the client’s expectations, reducing the likelihood of a claim or suit for professional negligence.
