February 2021
Nathan B. Lee has been promoted to partner effective January 1, 2021 at Gray•Duffy, LLP, a law firm representing business, commercial and real estate clients, as well as insurers and policyholders. Lee focuses his practice on civil litigation matters, including personal injury, insurance coverage, and business-related disputes, and has particular expertise pertaining to asbestos issues. He joined the firm in 2012 and is resident in Gray•Duffy’s Encino office.
“Nathan is an outstanding young lawyer and has been an incredible addition to the firm from day one,” said Gary Gray, Managing Partner of Gray•Duffy. “He is committed to ensuring clients have the best representation possible and contributes to growing the firm in a variety of ways. We’re pleased to welcome him to the partnership in recognition of his efforts.”
Recent representative successes Lee has obtained on behalf of clients include:
- Represented the Plaintiff in a bodily injury lawsuit against the owner of a Woodland Hills apartment complex and the City of Los Angeles. The Plaintiff was walking on the sidewalk in front of the apartment complex and sustained significant personal injuries when she rolled her right foot on a portion of the sidewalk that was displaced by five inches. Lee negotiated a favorable global settlement with the Defendants to cover the Plaintiff’s out-of-pocket expenses, pain and suffering, lost wages, lost future earning capacity, and future medical care.
- Represented a sandblasting company as the Defendant and cross-complainant in a personal injury matter. The Plaintiff filed suit against an apartment owner, the property manager, and the sandblasting company, alleging numerous causes of action, including but not limited to, negligence, trespass, and unfair business practices. Lee aggressively advocated on behalf of the client, and was able to expeditiously and successfully resolve this matter in obtaining a favorable discounted settlement and a dismissal of the lawsuit with prejudice.
Lee obtained a Juris Doctorate from Southwestern Law School where he received the Hon. Tom Bradley and Hon. Gilbert Lindsay Scholarship. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Communications from the University of California, Davis. Lee is the recipient of the “Witkin Award for Academic Excellence” in Criminal Law. He is admitted to the State Bar of California, and the United States District Court for the Central District and Northern District of California.
